As a defense

There are people of a character and there are those who are weak in their characters. There are people who are extraverts and there are their polarities – introverts. Introverts keep everything for themselves and they don’t like to share their feelings with other people. Extraverts are usually bright and happy, that is how people think about them. They are always kidding and you will never see them sad. But, it is impossible for a person to be happy and bright all the time like they, and there is an explanation for it. The sense of humor for such people is their way to protect themselves of being hurt. It is like they share their emotions and feelings with everyone around, but indeed they reveal nothing they feel indeed. Humor is like a defense for those people who are afraid for being hurt and who think they are easy to hurt. They never trust anyone and they build the humor-wall and keep all those “friends” behind that wall and precious the moment when those people are not joking and are not having fun because it is the moment when they let you go through that wall and see them real.

Jokes are clues

You know that according to the jokes you gear about you it is possible to realize other people’s opinion about you. And it is also possible to realize and notice all those features typical for you, but features you never though you have. See, when people are joking about you they express their own point of view about you. They see something and notice something and they make jokes about it. There is no way for people to joke about you are sarcastic in case you are not. You may grow mad and you may take those as an offence but it is not the right behavior for you. It is better for people to be more attentive towards jokes they hear about themselves and according to those jokes they can see all those drawbacks they have. And, in case you know that you were wrong here and there it is easier for you to fix things and to improve your character, of course if you really need to improve it. And from this angle I guess it will be right to state that jokes are half jokes and half true. But, sometimes people make jokes just like that and you should never pay too much attention to it.

Analysis of Humor

Why in the world do we need to analyze our humor?  People do it everyday.  It is not just important to have humor.  Must we know exactly what type of humor we have and when we have it?  Do we need to understand the evolution of humor and when and how we use it?  To me the analysis of humor takes all the fun out of it.  What can you say about a person who studies humor from books?  I say that they should live a little bit.

Does it really matter type of humor you experience just as long as you have it?  It is certain that a person’s humor is just as unique as the person.  It is enough for me to know that I like or dislikes a person’s humor.  So let us say that we have researched and studied all the different philosophies on humor.  The fact that I can attach technical terms to it does not change what I find humorous.  A thorough understanding of humor also does not have the ability to make me enjoy it more or less.

When you attach words like structure mapping and bisociation to a concept like humor it just becomes boring and labored.  Humor is always best when it is something that is effortless and not forced.  It should be something that we do not have to spend anytime thinking about but rather a spontaneous thing that arrives out of unexpected situations.  An analysis of humor is a waste of time, a good time at that.

Humor In Medicine

Is there a place for humor in tomorrow’s medicine? It has often been said that humor and laughter are most definitely the best medicine. There is always room for a little laughter regardless of how serious the situation. In fact, learning to insert humor into medical situations is a gift that more of us need to remember when we are comforting a loved one who is sick or dying. So often we forget the value of humor because we are afraid of being offensive. Imagine yourself in the same situation, where suddenly everyone has stopped treating you like they used to and now handles you with kid gloves and basic reproach because you got sick. Now imagine the one person who could make you laugh. Wouldn’t you rather battle an illness without all the morose faces and learn to laugh a little at what ever there might be to laugh at? Humor has been shown to aid in the healing process. Laughter released much needed hormones that help the body fight off infection. While you are busy laughing and being humorous, your body is greedy to suck up those hormones and puts them to immediate use. The more you laugh, the more your body sucks up those precious hormones and utilizes them in the process of fighting off infection. Sometimes the use of humor in medicine can change the mindset of a patient, which can get them back on the path to fighting their illness again. Without humor, we are all sort of ill inside anyway. Why push that illness on someone who needs all the health they can get?

Humour

A search of the funniest joke in the world lasted for nearly a year. And finally the winner was chosen from a good forty thousand of jokes with the help of 2 000 000 votes from more than forty countries. The result shows once more that people from different parts of the world have fundamentally different sense of humour. The research workers also noticed that the funniest animal in the world is a duck: “If you want to make up a joke about some kind of animal, let it be the duck and you never fail.”
Here is the best joke.
Two hunters from New-Jersey were in the forest when one of them suddenly fell to the ground. His breath was not heard and his eyes were shut. The other hunter took his mobile phone and called the hospital. When he was connected with the reception room he said: “My friend is dead! What should I do?” The operator answered him: “Calm down, I will try to help you. First you have to know for sure that he is dead.”  For some time the operator heard nothing in reply, than he heard a loud sound of gun shot. After that the hunter returned to the phone and said: “OK, now I am sure. What shall I do now?”
The joke won the first prize as people from different countries like it no matter how old they are or if they are women or men.

Men and Sense of Humour

Some men have sense of humour, some don’t. If your man doesn’t have sense of humour, then he’s a bore, if he’s a bore, you are totally bored in his company and will soon start looking for fun with someone excitingly else…
In my opinion, this quality in men occurs much less frequently than women and, if found, it is an indigestible form. In doing so, virtually all men are absolutely confident in his wittiness, and even the tongue-tied trying to portray itself is not Mr. Bean at all.
A typical representative of the tribe deprived of clean sense of humor male TV satirist, whom everybody knows, so we will not call him by name. From a purely female (that is very humane) is not afraid to make a painful vulnerable identity - is no, as a creator …
Moreover, even a new, fun, anecdote should it still be able to tell! When the man, stammer and giggling stupidly starts stuttering and paraphrasing, throwing saliva at listeners, even anecdote, he was, at best, be able to count on a wry smile and a polite nod …
In general, a very unfortunate image. We come to the conclusion that a significant portion of men are so devoid of a sense of humor, and this is very disappointing. Still, for every poison there is an antidote, and if you out a man of such “not too fun” class, try … teach his wit! It may seem strange, but this quality is not even a birth, and may well be developed artificially. Our task-bit build humoristic a lot of single entity, after which he is sure to say thank you, even if not out loud and in your heart …
